Governor Beshear is reflecting on this unprecedented year as he looks ahead to a hopeful new year.

We talked to him one-on-one today as kentucky is in its tenth month in the battle against the coronavirus.

The governor says he had to make tough decisions that may not have been popular..but he felt were the right thing to do.

He says his conscience is clear about the decisions made over the course of the pandemic.

Beshear: "every night, every night it's 'could i have said something different.

Could i have appealed in a different way?

And, i feel like we've made the right decisions with the information we've had at the time."

He says while the pandemic has been front of mind for so many...he still has promises to keep...like public education...health care..creating jobs and agri-tech.

He says through it all...he hopes kentuckians remember there is still a life after the pandemic.

" i think we're gonna have a bright 2021, certainly the second half of 2021 is going to be truly exciting and pretty normal.

And, we all look forward to getting back to normal."
