Local church pays generous donation forward

A group of Toyota employees and a local church came together to help many people in need.

As live: i'm outside of the salvation army where many people are filled with joy.

I spoke to one woman who said she was grateful to receive food and a gift card.

Sot: "you know it may not seem like much to most people, but when you're going day by day trying to figure out where your next meal is going to come from, the blessing to get something to eat and to know you have some place to get food..

Johns member, theodore caiouthers said toyota workers donated 25 dollar gift cards they got as bonuses to the church's homeless relief mission.

Church members handed out meals and the gift cards to those at the salvation army today.

Sot: "i think they're appreciative of everything we do when we come here.

We can see it in their faces.

We can head it in their conversations, we can see it in their faces."

Miller said the donation came right on time.

Now she and others can have their own christmas dinner.

Sot "because when you wake up in the morning and you don't know what you're going eat, sometimes it can be real depressing and disheartening to someone.

To know there are people out there willing to donate, and give, and help us less fortunate people out is really a blessing."
