When she was furloughed because of the pandemic she began thinking of ways she could avoid just sitting around.

Creating a pod of about 5 students she helps the student continue virtual learning while their parents can continue to work.

Mara is no stranger to the classroom.

She also works as a substitute teacher, so this transition made perfect sense.

Mara will go back to work for delta and continue her job teaching new flight attendants, but until then she's just happy to help.
