Officials are looking for more stable housing for roughly 600 people still sleeping at a Northern California fairground following a deadly wildfire last year.
The lease to operate an emergency shelter at the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds ends Jan.
31, the Chico Enterprise-Record reported Thursday.
The American Red Cross, which has been operating the shelter, and Butte County are trying to find housing for remaining evacuees.
