Watch: First batch of women military police gear up to join Indian Army

The first batch of women soldiers are undergoing training at the Corps of Military Police Centre in Bengaluru.

They have also been trained in firing at the Iblur Firing Range in Bengaluru.

The training of the first batch of 99 Women Military Police had commenced on Jan 6, 2020.

They will be the first women to be inducted in the Army’s rank & file.

A total of 9,118 women are serving as officers in the three defence forces.

The passing out parade of the first batch is yet to be held.
