Woman exposes suspicious online dating profile after noticing subtle detail

A woman went viral on TikTok afterpointing out a subtle detail in an onlinedating profile that exposed it as fake.Tanith Gregory (@tanithgregory) shared avideo in which she showed an image of a Tinderprofile that belonged to a person named Andrew. If you look closely, you'll notice thephoto was taken directly from a Google searchfor “Tim Johnson model”.Seeing as he had to Google the photo to haveit on hand and the names don't match up, thisseems to be a pretty clear instance of "catfishing,"or creating a fake profile.“If you’re going to go to the effort ofcatfishing people on Tinder, Andrew, at leastgo to the effort of cropping the Google searchout,” Gregory said in the video. It's worth noting that Andrew calledthemself "loyal" in their own bio.

“How NOT tocatfish 101," Gregory wrote in her caption."This has killed me.

Outright dead," oneuser said, echoing the sentiment felt bymost of the top responses."I feel sorry for him.

He's so insecure,he had to get someone else's picture instead,"a sympathetic user wrote
