Police used tear gas to disperse protesters rallying in Lyon against President Emmanuel Macron, who was visiting the city.

A total of 3,000 to 5,000 people took part in the rally, according to police and activists.

Among the demonstrators’ demands was the repeal of the latest pension reform.
