A study published in JAMA Neurology has found heart attacks aren’t only affecting the cardiovascular system, the brain is affected too.

Researchers found that those who have suffered a heart attack experience a faster cognitive decline than those who didn't, a decline equivalent to 6 to 13 years of cognitive aging.
