Shaun King and the family of American hostages Judith and Natalie Raanan clashed over his involvement in the hostages' release from Hamas.
While King asserted on X (previously Twitter) that he actively lobbied for their release with a diverse group, the Raanan family denied any association with him.
Natalie's brother, Ben, however, admitted contacting King due to his connections with the Palestinian government.
In defense, King posted screenshots of his interactions with Ben.
The exact role King played remains uncertain, and the Raanans were released two weeks after their abduction by Hamas while visiting Israel.
