Khatu Shyam is actually Barbarik, grandson of Bhima and son of Ghatotkach.
He is worshiped as Khatu Shyam.
Barbarik had the qualities of a brave and great warrior since childhood and he pleased Lord Shiva and received three impenetrable arrows from him.
For this reason they are also called having three arrows.
