From the Archives, 1969: What’s that, Skip? You’re in a feature film!

The summer of 1969/70 saw the release of a number of Hollywood and British blockbusters - Hoffman and Voight’s Midnight Cowboy, Streisand’s Hello Dolly, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service starring the Australian Bond, George Lazenby, and the adventures of a sentient VW Beetle named Herbie. Against stiff competition, that icon of 1960s children’s TV Skippy the bush kangaroo, made her big screen debut in The Intruders.
