From the Archives, 1997: Linton comes alive as local pub raffled off

Twenty-five years ago, a syndicate of five people from Moorabbin won a pub - the Railway Hotel in Linton - in a local football club raffle. The tiny sheep-farming town in country Victoria, came alive as 3000 people gathered in the main street for the draw.
