The Flowr Corporation (CVE:FLWR) (OCTMKTS:FLWPF) revealed Monday that it has received approval from Health Canada to open 10 additional grow rooms at its flagship Kelowna 1 cultivation facility in the fertile Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, which is now fully operational. The Toronto-based cannabis firm said this brings the total to 20, doubling the company’s capacity to grow premium, indoor flower at the facility. The newly licensed area also includes automated packaging equipment to reduce labor costs and the cost of goods sold, noted the company. This is the final approval required for full operation of the facility. When fully operational, the anticipated 85,000 square feet facility is expected to produce around 10,200 kilograms of bud. Gold producer Endeavour Mining Corporation (TSE:EDV) (OTCMKTS:EDVMF) has released a maiden reserve for its La Plaque deposit at the Ity mine in Ivory Coast, which shows a high grade, and told investors that estimates are likely to further increase in the second half of this year due to drilling. A further 194 holes have been sunk for 25,695 m in the second half of last year and since the July 2019 resource, on which this reserve is based. La Plaque has a maiden proved and probable reserve of 5.5 million tonnes (Mt) at 2.34 grams per ton (g/t) of gold for 415,000 ounces. The higher confidence measured and indicated resource is pegged at 476,000 ounces of the precious metal at 3.20 g/t gold from 4.63 Mt. Mota Ventures Corp (CSE:MOTA) (OTCMKTS:PEMTF) is tapping online e-commerce expert Ryan Hoggan as its new CEO as the cannabis firm embarks on a busy year. Hoggan’s appointment comes as Vancouver-based Mota recently closed the acquisition of Wyoming’s First Class CBD, of which Hoggan is a founder, making him a “natural fit” for the CEO role, according to the company. The firm is also preparing to roll out its European CBD brand Sativida in the US. MegumaGold Corp (CSE:NSAU) (OTCMKTS:NSAUF) has made a move into the hot palladium space with the acquisition of five mineral claims in the Similkameen mining division of British Columbia. The company aims to immediately begin surface work, mapping and sampling there and planning for a bigger work program.The new claims are seven and 20 km north-west of Copper Mountain. MegumaGold president Theo Van der Linde said: "The district at one time was the principal producer of palladium in North America. "Being Palladium is at an all-time high and not expected to slow down, due to the recent realization of the massive shortfall of the metal, we feel Meguma has substantial means to aggressively explore the recent acquisition being the region and its geological setting is well known for palladium yet has been relatively under looked and underexplored." Antibe Therapeutics Inc (CVE:ATE) (OTCMKTS:ATBPF) announced Monday that an article showcasing the benefits of its anti-inflammatory drug candidate has been published in a medical journal. The piece, which appeared in the publication “Antioxidant and Redox Signaling,” reported on a series of studies of ATB-352, the company’s derivative of the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) ketoprofen. The studies show that ATB-352 induces greater pain relief than ketoprofen in a well-characterized animal model of surgical pain. Like ketoprofen, ATB-352 treats pain by releasing hydrogen sulfide, but Antibe’s alternative is being developed to also avoid some of its side effects, namely damage to the gastrointestinal tract. Newrange Gold Corp (CVE:NRG) (OTCMKTS:NRGOF) has granted, subject to TSX venture exchange approval, a total of 1,508,500 share purchase options to directors, officers, and consultants with an exercise price of C$0.14 per share and a term of three years. Newrange also said it will be exhibiting at the prospectors and developers association of Canada (PDAC) conference in Toronto from March 1 to 4. Auryn Resources Inc (TSE:AUG) (NYSEAMERICAN:AUG) said it will be hosting an event at the Fairmont Royal York, Toronto on Monday, March 2 at 4pm as part of the PDAC conference. The agenda will include a presentation from executive chairman, Ivan Bebek and chief geologist, Michael Henrichsen, with a focus on Auryn's evolving Curibaya project in Peru and upcoming catalysts for 2020. This will be followed by a reception attended by other executives and geologists from the firm. Health sciences group PreveCeutical Medical Inc (CSE:PREV) (OTCMKTS:PRVCF) told investors that two Australian provisional applications entitled "A Cyclic Peptide", filed last year by the University of Queensland, Australia, have recently been combined into a single PCT (international) application which was filed a year after the earlier priority date. This PCT application, jointly owned by UQ and PreveCeutical, was filed on January 24 this year and aims to seek protection for certain cyclic peptides and their use in pain management. PreveCeutical's president and chief science officer Dr. Mak Jawadekar said: "We are very pleased that the research collaboration with UQ has led to this patent application. This is intended to provide PreveCeutical with the protection required to secure its intellectual property (IP) as we continue the development of our pain management therapeutic products." Parallax Health Sciences Inc (OTCMKTS:PRLX) announced Monday it has reached a settlement that releases the company of all potential liabilities and litigation with the previous owner of RoxSan Pharmacy Inc. Under the settlement terms, a contingent liability in the principal and interest of about $25 million has been canceled, the company said in a statement.  Parallax said the terms include a payment of $4 million to be paid over the next two years and delivery of 10 million shares of restricted stock of the company to the owner of RoxSan. Looking ahead, CEO Paul Arena said the company is now free to focus on operating growth. Vendetta Mining Corp (CVE:VTT) (OTCMKTS:VDTAF) has amended the terms of warrants issued as part of a placing of over 5.7 million shares at C$0.10 each, which was accepted for filing by the exchange effective on June 6 last year. The number of warrants is 2,886,250, which had an expiry date of June 3, 2021 and an exercise price of C$0.15. The new expiry date is June 3, 2022 and the new exercise price is C$0.13. Japan Gold Corp (CVE:JG) (OTCMKTS:JGLDF) has struck an extensive tie-up with mining behemoth Barrick Gold Corp (NYSE:GOLD) (TSE:ABX) to jointly explore, develop and mine properties in the east Asian country.
