On Wednesday, Missouri reported its first death from COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus. The deceased was a patient from the Columbia area, who was transported to University Hospital in Columbia Wednesday morning just a day after testing positive. According to KCUR, the patient is from Boone County, and the infection was related to travel. Kansas City also announced it first two confirmed cases of COVID-19, KCUR reports.
