Empower Clinics reaches third stage of its four-phase national roll-out of coronavirus testing

Empower Clinics Inc (CSE:CBDT) (OTCMKTS:EPWCF) has revealed that its national roll-out of coronavirus (COVID-19) antibody testing is going well and patient numbers exceeded expectations in May. As reported in April, the life sciences group has established a four-phase antibody testing program using RAPID COVID-19 test kits and the firm has now reached Phase Three, which involves business employee testing (BET) programs. "We established a four-phase approach to the roll-out of COVID-19 testing, ensuring operational excellence throughout the launch", said Steven McAuley, CEO of Empower. "A positive patient experience is imperative to our success, and therefore, establishing precise disciplined pilot programs that are measured, with quantifiable metrics, insure we can scale effectively." The firm, which operates a multi-state network of wellness clinics, added that it has conducted 2,302 physician-patient consultations setting a new milestone in patient volume for the month of May. It has hired three new call center specialists, two new clinic technicians and a full-time phlebotomist. The latter being a trained specialist in drawing blood samples. Phase One of Empower's program was blood draw testing at its clinics in Arizona, using phlebotomists. Samples are sent to Empower's laboratory test partner. Phase Two offered a Rapid COVID-19 antibody test with results in 1-15 minutes. The service is offered in-clinics using a drive-up service, conducted by the firm's clinic staff, as well as a door-step service. Phase Three is the Business Employee Testing (BET) programs, offering Rapid COVID-19 testing to businesses on a one-time basis, repeat basis and/or subscription basis, to assist businesses to get back to work safely. Phase Four is a US nationwide roll-out, offering all phases of the company services, that can be accessed online at Empower websites and call centers.
