Tietto Minerals Ltd (ASX:TIE) has received further high-grade gold results from diamond drilling at the Abujar‐Gludehi (AG) gold mineralised system that are likely to grow the existing 2.2-million-ounce resource at Abujar project in Côte d’Ivoire, West Africa. The best results were 5 metres at 8.31 g/t gold from 417 metres, including 2 metres at 19.94 g/t and 1-metre at 35.14 g/t from 368 metres. These demonstrate continued growth of the AG mineralised system and the company is currently drilling five deep diamond holes, testing this system to 550 metres below surface over a 650-metre strike length. The new results, together with strong intersections recently reported from outside the existing AG mineral resource, are expected to result in a positive uplift in the next Abujar mineral resource estimate which is on track for September 2020. Latest results “extend core at AG” Managing director Caigen Wang said: “Our latest batch of high-grade gold intercepts extend the core at AG on section 22B to at least 180 metres below the November 2019 resource model. “On this section, step-out drilling has delineated a high-grade gold footwall lode that stretches more than 180 metres down dip that would be attractive for an underground mine below a future open pit operation. “The company’s five diamond drill rigs are currently testing depth extensions of the high-grade core at AG with five diamond holes up to 650 metres downhole to provide 550 metres vertical cover over a 650-metre strike length. “I am very pleased with the rapid growth of the high-grade gold core at AG, as our step out and extensional drilling consistently intersects wide high-grade gold mineralisation section after section.” Diamond drilling progress The company’s ongoing diamond drilling program is testing the extension of the deposit's high-grade core which sits at 19.3 million tonnes at 2.2 g/t for 1.39 million ounces. With five drill rigs at the project site and four rigs drilling day and night with one on stand-by as back-up, the company anticipates more drilling results in coming weeks.
