GlobeX Data Ltd (CSE:SWIS) (OTCQB:SWISF) has said it is gearing up to launch its encrypted email and messaging security program Sekur in the US. The secure communications suite includes encrypted messaging with a self-destruct timer and is designed to complement GlobeX’s existing DigitalSafe document management and collaboration suite. Toronto and New York-based GlobeX will launch Sekur.com and its applications on the iOS AppStore and Google Play marketplace for Android devices in August. According to GlobeX, demand for Sekur is building as consumers and businesses are looking at protecting their personal and business emails in light of increased business email compromise and phishing attacks. The technology company is working on a marketing strategy to identify premium consumers and business targets in the US for direct email campaigns, it told shareholders in a statement. The first marketing test campaign is set to start in the second half of August with around 50,000 identified users.  Earlier this month, GlobeX said it plans to offer Sekur for an introductory price of $9.99 per month per user, or $99.90 for the year. It will include 100 gigabytes of email and message storage. The firm recently told shareholders that recent data breaches in messaging applications, especially WhatsApp have created “an urgency” for businesses to protect their communications from cyberattacks.
