It’s certainly been a different kind of summer-movie season. No wonder we’ve got a different kind of summer-movie superhero. The late John Lewis didn’t wear tights or a cape or a mask (except as a means to control the spread of the coronavirus). Probably his most memorable “costume” (if you can call it that) was that buff-colored raincoat he wore as he crossed the Edmund Pettus Bridge in 1965 and had his head cracked open by law enforcement officers of the great state of Alabama.
