Minnesota Renaissance Festival goes drive-thru this year

Fans of the Minnesota Renaissance Festival can still get their anachronistic fix this summer, with a modern twist: They'll have to stay in their cars to see it. The annual late-summer festival — upended, like most annual rituals this year, by the Covid-19 pandemic — is planning weekend drive-thru events that will take visitors tours of its Shakopee fairgrounds, starting Sept. 19.
