Women's history museum becomes a reality

A new national museum marking the history of women in the United States was approved as part of the stimulus package passed by Congress Monday. The passage authorizes The Smithsonian to create museums on women's history and American Latinos. Construction is a long way off. Half of the project will require private donations, and it will take further legislation to agree on a site and time to finalize design plans.
