Kauai proposes post-travel testing option for resort bubbles

Kauai County is seeking to launch a post-travel testing option at “resort bubble” properties, pending state approval. Mayor Derek Kawakami sent a proposal to Gov. David Ige this week that would allow passengers arriving on Kauai who have taken a pre-travel Covid-19 test to take a second test three days after arrival — if they are staying at a county-approved Enhanced Movement Quarantine property.
