Oahu walloped by heavy rains in wake of Maui flooding

The Windward side and North Shore of Oahu were the latest areas of the state to be walloped by heavy rains on Tuesday. A flash flood warning was in effect from Hawaii Kai to Haleiwa through 1:45 p.m., according to the National Weather Service Honolulu. Kamehameha Highway has been shut down between Wailehua Road in Kahaluu and the Waikane Store before Kualoa Regional Park, the Hawaii Department of Transportation announced on Twitter.
