Duke Energy to receive at least $215M from insurers in coal-ash settlement

The insurance settlement may bring an end to the long litigation over Duke Energy's coal-ash disposal practices that came to a head after a failed stormwater pipe under Duke Carolinas’ shuttered Dan River coal-ash pond dumped 39,000 tons of ash into the river.
