Xavier first school locally to mandate Covid-19 vaccine for students

Xavier said it made the decision following the Food and Drug Administration’s full approval of the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine Monday. The university also cited a more transmissible Delta variant, which is fueling a resurgence of Covid-19 cases and hospitalizations nationwide, as a factor.
