Poland waits for final election result after ruling party and opposition claim a win

Poland faces a period of political uncertainty after Poles voted in huge numbers in a national election that a combination of opposition parties appeared to win. The ruling nationalist conservative party won more votes than any single party and insisted that it had won. The state electoral commission hasn't reported the final results. But the polling agency Ipsos released a so-called late exit poll that combined polling during the Sunday's election as well as half the votes counted. It showed the ruling party with 36.6%, the opposition Civic Coalition led by Donald Tusk with 31% and the centrist Third Way coalition with 13.5%. Others were in single-digit percentages.
