An affecting portrait of loneliness...

South London producer *Drew Jodi* has shared his new track 'Coward'.

The electronic musician's spartan palette suggests much more than it states, recalling those early James Blake EPs in its emotional impact.

New single 'Coward' explores the theme of loneliness, a topic that repeated nationwide lockdowns have brought to the fore.

The pointed digitalism seems to suggest a fragmented psyche, with its stunted tones bleeding into areas of alienation.

Starting with a beat from Croydon based artist SourSync, the palette utilised on 'Coward' allows Drew Jodi space to explore some highly personal feelings.

He comments: "On a day I’'d found myself mentally struggling, I lingered on a SourSync beat on Instagram. It perfectly scored the moment I was having and within an hour I had written the lyrics”."
