Kanpur encounter: Slain deputy superintendent blew the whistle on gangster’s nexus with local cops

Deputy superintendent of police Devendra Mishra, whose head was severed and his toe chopped off by gangster Vikas Dubey and his men, had blown the whistle and accused the now suspended Station Officer Chaubeypur Vinay Tiwari of shielding the don, and had informed his seniors in March, warning them that the nexus could lead to “grave consequences” if not checked.
