MP ‘love jihad’ bill: Maintenance for ‘victims’, arrest without warrant

The Shivraj Singh Chouhan cabinet on Saturday approved the MP Dharm Swatantra Vidheyak 2020 (MP Freedom of Religion Bill). It will be tabled before the assembly in the upcoming winter session that begins on Monday. MP would be the second state after UP to have such a law, once the bill is passed in the assembly. ​​​​What sets the MP bill apart is a provision of maintenance for the victim and her child.
