Yearender: Why 2020 was a year of BJP, AAP in elections

While the year 2019 would be remembered for the victory of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA in the Lok Sabha elections, 2020 would be recalled as the year when the BJP made handsome gains in the polls held for local bodies across the country. Moreover, while the BJP also won the Bihar assembly elections, Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) decisively won the Delhi state polls for the second consecutive term.
