Two farmer unions withdraw from protest after January 26 violence

Rashtriya Kisan Mazdoor Sangathan and the Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) on Wednesday announced that they were withdrawing from the ongoing farmers' protest in wake of violence that took place during tractor parade on Republic Day. Condemning the violence, Rashtriya Kisan Mazdoor Sangathan's leader VM Singh said the agitation will continue but "not in this form".
