Gujarat: Young lives under Covid attack, mortality spikes in under-45 group

A 14-day-old boy, one of the youngest Covid-19 patients in Gujarat, died of multiple organ failure at Surat’s New Civil Hospital on Wednesday. The infant's family lives in Uchhal village of Tapi district. Another 14-day-old girl is also battling for life at Diamond Hospital in Surat hooked on to a ventilator.
