In biggest daily spike, India records 4.12 lakh new cases, 3,980 deaths

India on Thursday recorded maximum fresh cases and fatalities in a day with 4,12,262 new infections and 3,980 deaths in the last 24 hours, the health ministry informed. This was the second time that the tally breached the 4-lakh mark, after 4,02,351 infections were recorded on April 30.
