India registers 39,742 new Covid cases and 535 deaths in 24 hours; recovery rate stands at 97.36%

India has reported 39,742 new Covid cases and 535 deaths in the last 24 hours, the bulletin released by the Union health ministry on Sunday stated. The current recovery rate is 97.36%, the bulletin added.​​ A total of 43,31,50,864 vaccine doses have been administered in India under the nationwide vaccination drive so far, it said.
