Sukhjinder Randhawa named new Punjab chief minister

Sukhjinder Randhawa has been named as the next chief minister of Punjab. Randhawa was the minister of jail and department of cooperation in Amarinder-led Punjab government. In 2017, he was re-elected MLA from Dera Baba Nanak assembly constituency. Considered a loyal lieutenant of Amarinder at that time, he was inducted into the cabinet.
