Sabarmati turns red then dead, says study

The Sabarmati has been suffering silently but scientists recently have found ways of measuring the agonies it is enduring. One method was to map the water quality index (WQI). Can the river support life? How good or safe is the river water for human use? A 15-year-study, from 2005, recorded the WQI of the Sabarmati deteriorating severely all along its length.
