Odisha: Baripada sizzles at 44 degree Celsius as cruel April heat drives people indoors

Normal life remained affected as maximum day temperature hovered above 40 degrees Celsius in most parts of the state for the third consecutive day on Friday with Baripada, the district headquarters town of Mayurbhanj, recording 44 degrees Celsius, the country's highest.
