Crocodile drags 18-yr-old girl into canal in UP district, feared dead

An 18-year-old girl from Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur Kheri district is missing after allegedly being dragged into a canal by a crocodile. The incident occurred while she was herding her cattle. Despite a 20-hour rescue operation, the girl's body has not been found. The canal had become a temporary home for a crocodile due to the overflow of the Sharda river during the monsoon season. Authorities have advised locals to avoid the canal until the crocodile is either rescued or leaves the area.
