Western Railway (WR) conducted a 'fortress check' at Dadar station in Mumbai, catching 1,647 unauthorized passengers in one day. This is the largest ever netting of ticketless passengers in a single day at any station in India. WR has launched the 'Mera ticket, Mera Imaan' drive to tackle this issue. The crackdown sent shockwaves among ticketless travelers, with the drive recovering Rs 4.22 lakh. On average, only 230 cases are detected per day at Dadar station.
