New Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) trains to be known as 'Namo Bharat'

The new Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) trains in India will be called 'Namo Bharat' and will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The RRTS is a high-speed, high-frequency rail-based transit system connecting cities and towns in the National Capital Region. The first corridor, between Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Meerut, is under construction and has a design speed of 180 km/hr. Once operational, it is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and alleviate traffic congestion.
