In sons' absence, 16-year-old grandson to perform Subrata Roy's last rites today

The last rites of Subrata Roy, the founder of Sahara Group, will be performed by his 16-year-old grandson, Himanc Roy. Roy's sons, Sushanto and Seemanto, who are abroad, are unlikely to attend the funeral. Himanc, who studies in London, arrived in Mumbai on Tuesday to see his grandfather and will lead the ceremony in Lucknow. The procession will begin in the afternoon and is expected to reach Baikunth Dham around 2pm, where the ceremony will be performed according to Sanatan rituals. Many family members, friends, and politicians visited Sahara Shaher to pay their respects.
