Juvenile among 5 held for trying to extort doctor

Four people, including a scrap dealer, were arrested and a 16-year-old boy apprehended for allegedly demanding protection money at gunpoint from a doctor in northeast Delhi's Bhajanpura. The arrested persons were identified as Haider Ali alias Sameer (18), Faisal Pathani (18), Sakib (19) and Mohammad Zaim (23). Two more people involved in the extortion attempt are absconding. The accused had entered the doctor's clinic posing as patients. They demanded Rs 5 lakh from the doctor as protection money. The investigation revealed that Zaim, a scrap dealer, was the mastermind behind the crime. The pistol used in the crime was recovered from Pathani.
