Female entrepreneurs in India are experiencing an increase in funding opportunities. Data shows that the share of women-led startups in India has risen to 18% of the overall startup ecosystem in 2022. From 2014 to 2023, 25% of women-led startups received funding, compared to 9% for the general pool. Female investors and women-focused funds have played a significant role in supporting women entrepreneurs. However, there is still a need for more female venture capitalists in the ecosystem. Efforts such as incubators and networking platforms are helping to create a more supportive environment for women in entrepreneurship.
