Goa: Rise in no. of cases of minor girls’ fake nudes put online after feud with friends

A 14-year-old schoolgirl filed a complaint with the state police after discovering a fake profile on a social media platform containing nude and objectionable photos. The incident highlights a trend where boyfriends collect such photos to harm their reputation in case of break-ups. The Cybercrime cell of Goa police has identified nine Instagram handles of minor girls from elite schools in Panaji that had morphed videos for personal revenge. Minors are urged to be cautious while sharing photos and messages with their partners to prevent blackmail and reputation damage.
