External Affairs Minister Jaishankar arrives in Russia

Jaishankar arrived in Moscow for a five-day visit to Russia. He will hold talks with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov and meet with Russia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov to discuss economic engagement. The visit will include engagements in Moscow and St. Petersburg, focusing on people-to-people and cultural ties. The ties between India and Russia have remained strong despite the Russian invasion of Ukraine, with India's import of Russian crude oil increasing significantly.
