Ayodhya: 21,000 priests to conduct 'Ram Naam'Maha Yagya before temple consecration

Ahead of the consecration ceremony, a grand 'Ram Naam Maha Yagya' will be held in Ayodhya. 1008 Narmadeshwar Shivlings will be established during the yagya, which will be conducted by 21,000 priests from Nepal. The yagya will take place on the bank of Saryu river with a grand yagya mandap. A tent city has been set up to accommodate 50,000 devotees daily. Atmanand Das Mahatyagi, also known as Nepali Baba, is organizing the event. The yagya will start on Makar Sankranti and continue till January 25, with 24,000 verses of Ramayan being chanted. 1008 Shivlings will be anointed with panchamrit and 1,100 couples will perform havan in 100 ponds. The stones for the Shivlings have been brought from the Narmada river.
