Drone survey of Sabarmati shows 20 polluting outfalls in Ahmedabad

The Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) conducted a drone survey in Gandhinagar and the Gulf of Khambat, finding 123 sewage outfalls in the Sabarmati River. 73 outfalls actively released domestic sewage. Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) collaborated with IITRAM Maninagar and found that 617 MLD of untreated sewage from 20 outfalls were contaminating the river.
