Man held for stealing wife's car worth 4.5lakh to pay off debt

Udhna police in Gujarat arrested a man who faked the theft of his wife's car to pay off debts. The arrested man confessed to plotting the theft with his friend and making a duplicate key ahead of the incident. She complained that her Swift Dezire car was stolen from outside her home in Gayatri Kurpa-2 society on the night of Jan 6. Kanchan declared the car's worth as Rs 4.5 lakh.
