Rahul to visit Assamese icon Sankardeva's birthplace on January 22 as scheduled: Congress

Assam CM Sarma urged Rahul Gandhi to avoid visiting Batadrawa Than during the Ram temple consecration ceremony. However, the Congress asserted that Gandhi's visit would proceed as scheduled and said no politics should be done over it. Gandhi will visit the Than on Monday morning and then continue the 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra'.
