Skyscrapers and scorpion: Indigenous artists mix modern with the traditional

Last year, Warli artist Anil Chaitya Vangad recreated a map of Seoul in three large Warli panels. Vangad will showcase a Warli representation of Mahatma Gandhi's life at 'The Art of India' exhibition. The exhibition is themed ‘Tradition, Transition and Modernity’ and will also feature Madhubani artists Baua Devi and Godawari Dutta, contemporary Gond practitioners, and artists from the Udaipur.
