'One nation, one poll' will save cost, benefit economy: CII

CII expressed robust support for the 'one nation, one election' idea during its presentation to the high-level committee led by former President Ram Nath Kovind in Delhi. In their presentation, a delegation from CII, including President R Dinesh, his successor Sanjiv Puri, and Director General Chandrajit Banerjee, conveyed to President Kovind that while coordinating elections at various levels might pose challenges, it could result in cost savings and be advantageous for the economy.
